Ricky Williams speaks at first Cannabis Expo

Ricky Williams, former star running back for the Miami Dolphins, recently spoke at the first Cannabis expo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He spoke about how the feelings people have about marijuana are beginning to change.

“The stigma is starting to be lifted,” Williams said during the Southeast Cannabis Conference and Expo. “It really has helped a lot of people.”

The Californian native spoke to about 200 people varying from advocates, doctors and enthusiasts looking to learn more about how marijuana helps people and the expanding industry of medical marijuana.

The events executive director, Demitri Downing commented on the event, ” We are pulling back the curtain so people can take a peek into what this new emerging medical marijuana market might look like.”

The conference that took place on Sunday was the first of its kind here in Florida.
