Without the use of Tom Brady and the majority of the New England Patriots first string line up the Jacksonville Jaguars had no troubles defeating the Patriots Thursday night. The final score of 31-24 was justified. The game was somewhat neck and neck until the late third quarter when the Jacksonville Jaguars really took the game into overdrive. Jaguars rookie Dede Westbrook caught a beautiful 42 Yd pass from QB Brandon Allen and the crowd went crazy. The touchdown possession gave the Jags the lead by two scores. This was something that the Patriots could not come back from. The Jacksonville Jaguars lead the game in total yards by gaining 447 yards v.s. The New England Patriots hard fought 426 yards. The New England Patriots were able to hold the ball 3 minutes longer than the Jaguars. The Patriots were also able to complete more first downs. The Patriots passing game threw 26 first downs v.s. 19 first downs of the Jaguars and it still wasn’t enough. The Patriots had 1 turn-over which could have arguably cost them the game.
