Miami Rave x JD On Tha Track
MR: When did you 1st start getting into producing music and why did you pursue such a career?
JD: I started getting into producing music when I was like 15; I decided to pursue this career because I found out that this is what I love to do. Producing is my passion.
MR: Which artist gave you your 1st big break? Which song was it?
JD: I think it was an artist called Lil Flo Malcom. He was the first one to ever use my beats and that was my very first placement. The song is called ”1ThouWow”.
MR: Are you currently working on any projects? If so, what are they?
JD: I’m working on a mixtape with some of my credits which is dropping April 23th.
MR: Which artists do you want to work with in the future?
JD: Future, G-Eazy, Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Jeremih, August Alsina, Drake, Migos and many more.
MR: Are you interested at all in dabbling in other genres producing wise?
JD: Not really; I feel like making the beats I like to but I do think we always need to improve.
MR: Take us through your creative process; how long does it take you to formulate a concept for a beat, start piecing it together and then eventually finish it?
JD: It really depends on how I’m feeling – I put a lot of emotions and feelings into my beats. The concept is the same; I create everything within the time I’m going to make the beat, or sometimes a new idea comes up in my head and I put everything of that new in the process. It’s easy to start piecing it together and finish it because I be feelin’ the beat so I do everything I feel.
